Registration of specific cosmetic products in Kuwait

The following labelling requirements also apply:

  • Products shall be marked with suitable, clearly worded and easily comprehensible warnings on the risks they may present in the official language of the member state (Arabic).
  • The product or packaging must provide the identity and details of the manufacturer and the product reference. Alternatively, batch information may be presented – if possible.
  • The country of origin must be displayed.

    • Decision No.59/2009 of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) prohibits the use of 1,4-Dioxane as an ingredient in make-up as well as cosmetic and shampoo products.
