Certificate of Inspection' for Food and Food Contact Materials (NFSA-scheme for Egypt)

Ensure efficient mandatory NFSA certification for your products with our services

The National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) is an independent organization to protect consumers' health by ensuring that food products consumed, distributed, marketed or produced in Egypt meet the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Per local decrees No. 2 and No. 14, only inspection companies registered in NFSA are authorized to issue 'Certificates of Inspection (CoI)' for regulated products. The certificates are used for clearance of products at the Egypt customs, and constitute a proof that products comply with the NFSA-requirements. Related conformity assessment procedure includes document review, product sampling and testing, inspection, loading supervision and - upon succesfull testing and inspection - issuance of the 'Certificate of Inspection'.
